Busy Terms
Last updated July 23, 2026
These Terms of Use govern access to Busy, including the standalone Busy app and the optional Busy for Shopify product.
- Merchants are responsible for configuring their services, staff, availability, prices, booking policies, permissions, and customer-facing content, and for confirming that appointments and payments are accurate.
- Merchants must use Busy in compliance with applicable laws, privacy obligations, payment-network rules, and any connected-platform terms.
- Paid plans renew monthly until canceled. The price, trial period, renewal terms, included features, and available cancellation method are disclosed before purchase. App Store subscriptions are managed through the Apple Account; online subscriptions are managed through the secure Busy billing portal.
- Customer payments for appointments and other real-world services are processed by the merchant's selected payment provider. Busy is not a bank and does not hold merchant or customer payment-card credentials.
- The merchant is the merchant of record and is responsible for service delivery, customer-facing prices and policies, refunds, disputes, taxes, and accurate accounting. The connected payment processor controls identity review, payout timing, holds, and bank routing.
- Card-processing fees and any disclosed Busy transaction fee are separate. Busy records the fee applied to each successful card transaction and does not charge its transaction fee on cash or failed payments.
- Authorized merchant staff may request full or partial refunds to the original payment method. A refund returns the proportional Busy transaction fee. Processor-fee treatment is governed by the merchant's payment-processing agreement and may not be returned. Refund completion is subject to processor confirmation.
- The merchant must respond to payment disputes through the connected processor, reconcile Busy transactions and refunds against processor payouts and bank deposits, and maintain the records required by its accountant, tax authority, and applicable law.
- Busy may update app features, security controls, and integrations to maintain safety, compatibility, and reliability. Planned features labeled as previews or coming soon are not part of a paid-plan commitment until released.
- Workspace owners can cancel billing through the provider that bills the plan and can deactivate their Busy workspace. Deactivation stops access and new activity while preserving transaction records needed for disputes, accounting, tax, security, or legal compliance.
- Workspace owners can initiate account and personal-data deletion inside the Busy app. The workspace is deactivated immediately and reviewed within 30 days; records Busy must retain for payments, taxes, disputes, fraud prevention, security, or law may be retained or pseudonymized.
