Busy Privacy

Last updated July 22, 2026

Busy provides standalone business tools and an optional Shopify app. We process merchant, staff, and customer data to provide booking, checkout, customer management, memberships, rewards, reporting, security, and support.

Information we process

  • Account and contact information, including names, email addresses, phone numbers, workspace identifiers, staff roles, and authentication records.
  • Business and customer records, including services, staff availability, appointments, notes, transaction history, memberships, packages, rewards, balances, and merchant configuration.
  • Information a user deliberately selects from Contacts to prefill a customer profile, and service images a merchant deliberately selects for upload.
  • Approximate device location when permission is granted for dashboard weather or an in-person payment flow. Busy does not use location for advertising.
  • Subscription and payment status. Payment-card and bank credentials are entered with the applicable App Store, web billing, or commerce provider and are not stored by Busy.
  • When a buyer explicitly asks Busy to remember a digital-receipt destination, Busy stores the encrypted email address or phone number, a masked display version, consent details, and a one-way identifier derived from the processor's card fingerprint. Busy does not store the card number or expose the buyer's full saved destination to a merchant.

How information is used

We use this information for app functionality, account security, customer and appointment operations, payments and subscriptions, service communications, troubleshooting, legal compliance, and merchant-requested support. Busy does not sell personal information or use it for third-party advertising or cross-app tracking.

Sharing and optional integrations

Information is shared only with service providers and integrations needed for a requested workflow, such as Apple platform services, web billing processing, email or push delivery, hosting providers, and Shopify when a merchant explicitly connects that optional channel. Each provider processes data under its own terms.

Retention, choices, and deletion

We retain information while an account is active and as needed for security, dispute, tax, accounting, and legal obligations. Users can manage device permissions in iPhone Settings. Workspace owners can deactivate a workspace in Busy under More, Settings, Account without erasing its financial or operational history. Owners can separately initiate account and personal-data deletion in More, Settings, Privacy & data. Busy deactivates the workspace immediately and completes the privacy review within 30 days. Records required for payments, disputes, accounting, tax, fraud prevention, security, or legal compliance may be retained or pseudonymized.
